Cognizant to Build Largest India Campus in Bhubaneswar: CEO Meets CM

Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S met with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday to discuss plans for establishing the IT firm’s largest campus in India, according to an official statement.

During the meeting, the chief minister confirmed the state government’s commitment to allocating land in Bhubaneswar for the proposed campus. Majhi assured full support from the state administration to facilitate the development of the facility, the statement said.

The Bhubaneswar campus is set to become Cognizant’s largest center in India, underscoring the company’s strategic focus on expanding its footprint in the region. Kumar, who hails from Odisha, expressed optimism about the continued growth of Cognizant’s existing operations in the city. He highlighted plans to scale up operations over the next five years.

The discussions occurred on the sidelines of the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention, where Kumar was present as a delegate. The chief minister congratulated Kumar on receiving the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award, acknowledging his contributions to the global IT sector.

Majhi also sought Kumar’s collaboration in attracting further investments to Odisha’s information technology sector. Kumar assured the state of his cooperation in promoting IT-related opportunities in the region.1`

Cognizant, a leading American IT services company, has been operating in Bhubaneswar for several years and continues to expand its presence in India, one of its key markets.
